- IDMP is an interprofessional, multidisciplinary, multi-hospital program whose mission is to improve the care of patients with infectious diseases, prevent the spread of infection, and ensure the appropriate use of antimicrobials.
- IDMP's fields include Infectious Diseases, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Infection Control, and Clinical Microbiology.
- IDMP coordinates with clinicians across UCSF teaching hospitals: UCSF Medical Center at Parnassus Heights, UCSF Medical Center at Mt Zion, UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco, UCSF Children's Hospital Oakland, Zuckerburg San Francisco General Hospital and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center San Francisco to promote best practices across all the hospitals.
