Ceftriaxone 1 g IV daily x 5 days

For severe PCN allergy:

Vancomycin

PLUS

AztreonamID-R: SFGH 2 g IV q8h

Gram stain recommended.

 

In patients who received previous courses of antibiotics, consider expanding coverage.
